Wow! I just had an amazing Monday! I was feeling a bit tired an bloated from the night before (to much salt and to much wine!)
So I decided to do an Infrared Sauna at a little place called Sun Spa on Ventura Blvd.here in Sherman Oaks. Now I have driven past this place for years thinking it was just a really nice tanning salon and was surprised to hear that they have Infrared Saunas as well.
My sister had taken me to one in Newport Beach the weekend prior and I was a little skeptical at first because I am a somewhat claustrophobic.
The door on the front of the sauna is glass ,brilliant. That really helped me a lot and I fell in love!
To be truthful I’ve never cared much for going in a sauna ,I would get bored and claustrophobic and get out . But the infrared is so beneficial it stimulates your cardio -vascular ,lymphatic ,and immune systems.
This provides therapeutic perspiration releasing toxins ,burning up to
1000 calories per session and relaxing muscles.
It will also help with the appearance of cellulite, lower blood pressure and improve skin over all appearance. You sit and sweat toxins and rejuvenate skin and circulation. Who knew!
You need to drink a lot of water before and after.
After my 40 min treatment I walked down the street and purchased a fresh “cold pressed juice” consisting of Kale, spinach, romaine, parsley , cucumber, celery, apple, lemon, and ginger.
I went back to Sun Spa and spent 12 minutes in their Red Light Therapy bed that helps with skin rejuvenation and collagen production .
I think I’m off to a great start to a pretty healthy week!
Thank you Sun Spa! “Happy Monday!”
